Serving beer lovers for about 19.8x10-2 centuries
Hi, I'm Bert and this is my homebrew recipe page.
I started brewing sometime back in the early 90s for
a German class I was taking in college. We ended up
getting drunk in class, and the experience was quite fun.
So, upon moving to Eugene, Oregon in 1993, I took the hobby back up
and kept the house well stocked with lots of beer.
The rest, as they say, is history...
The Brewhole is
a little hobby that I started long, long ago when I was an
undergraduate in college. I don't brew as much as I did at the
Monkey House (where it all started), but I still get in a few
batches per year. The latest
version of the brewery is based on converted Sanke kegs and
uses full PID control for the
electric heating elements.
Fun stuff to play with and it makes
for even better beer than previous setups.
So there you have it. These are all of the recipes that I
have made into that happy liquid I drink so much of. As I make
more, I'll add more. Please understand that this page is going/has
gone through a major reprogramming, so expect that things will
change quite frequently... As a final note, the development
for this page was done using
Lynx. If it looks badwith
IE...sorry. I use Linux,
OpenBSD at home and haven't
tested this with Windows. Mind you, i'm not condemning anyone for
their choice in OS. This is a beer page, after all. And beer is
OS-independent. ;)~ Enough said. enjoy!
